A representative from R B Porter came to look at our broken boiler but instead of having to have a complete new boiler the engineer confirmed that he may be able to trace a fan for our unit (it is quite old now and a new part could not be ordered). They sourced the fan, had it delivered and within a week they had fitted it and my home was warm again for a fraction of the price of a brand new boiler. I cannot fault their work and they went that ‘extra mile’ to help us out. I have no hesitation in recommending them – a brilliant, fast and efficient service.

Replace all old radiators

Have used Porters for years to service our boiler and other plumbing jobs. On this occasion they fitted new radiators in every room in my mum’s bungalow. Competitive, excellent tidy job as usual.

Excellent job professionally carried out

The two engineers arrived promptly on day one and started the preparatory work, we had been told on arrival that due to the manufacturers delivery driver being off sick the boiler had not been delivered so while one engineer carried on the other actually drove and picked up the boiler. The job was completed as promised on day two with a thorough clean up leaving us very pleased with whole installation experience. Everyone we met at the company was very friendly and helpful.

Excellent Service

R B Porter were friendly and professional from the start. They came over to quote for a new boiler at a time which suited us. They explained everything we needed and what they would do. They booked us in when siuted us and turned up on time and completed the job in one day as advised. Gas boiler installed professionally and carefully

Needing a new Worcester Bosch boiler, I contacted a lot of local accredited installers. Using a Worcester-accredited installer meant that I got double the warranty period on the boiler. Several companies came out to look at the work. R.B. Porter were the only ones who actually measured my water flow rate, a crucial measurement to size a combi boiler correctly. More importantly, they were the only ones who actually made scientific sense when they spoke to me, and who weren’t just trying to sell their services by over-promising or contradicting themselves as they talked (always a red flag when that happens). R.B. Porter seemed up-to-date and knowledgeable about modern building regulations, Worcester Bosch products, and how to install them according to the manufacturer’s requirements. For the installation, the team turned up on time and completed all the work carefully and professionally. They were polite and pleasant to deal with, they took care to cause as little disruption as possible, despite having to turn off the gas and the water in the middle of winter. And now I have a new boiler which is working well, is the right size, and is set up to minimise gas consumption. I would certainly recommend R.B. Porter for gas boiler installation and servicing.

A week we were dreading !!!

We have used Porters for many years for jobs such as Boiler servicing, leaks, heating issues etc etc. But having recently moved house we decided to replace the existing boiler, as well as have some other major plumbing work including replacing tanks in the loft, additional pipework as well as other less significant jobs completed. Darren and Wayne were here for a full week. Every day 8.30 a.m until 5.00 p.m. Such approachable, pleasant guys, a real credit to Porters. Their work (so far) was faultless …… nothing was too much trouble. We were only left without hot water and heating for a minimum amount of time. Cannot recommend them enough

Excellent service replacing old boiler with new

From first enquiry to the home visit and quotation, everyone I dealt with was friendly and professional. All that I needed to know was explained to me and they were happy to give advice and answer all my questions, which put me at ease and gave me the confidence to go ahead. The installation team were courteous, respectful of my home and did a very professional job, leaving the area neat and tidy with all the rubbish removed. I received a call the next day to check I was happy with everything and I’ve had a couple of visits since to sort an issue that cropped up, so I can say the aftersales service is also excellent. Overall, I just got the feeling they are a genuine and trustworthy company as everything happened as discussed and the price was as quoted, and I will certainly be using R B Porter in the future for their other services.
